Feria Internacional de Turismo (FIT) November 1-4, 2008 La Rural Fair Grounds, Buenos Aires
Since its inception in 1996, the Feria Internacional de Turismo (FIT - International Tourism Fair) has been the largest and most important tourism fair in Latin America, with more than 78,000 visitors and 1,760 exhibitors in 2007. Participation in FIT events has soared in recent years, with more than a 500 percent increase over the past six years. This year’s show will feature seminars on the industry tailored to various niche sectors.
The Argentine economy has recovered significantly in the past five years and with it the demand for travel, which has grown on average 12 percent annually for the past three years. Argentine travelers spend $1,000 on an average ten-day visit to the United States, excluding air-tickets. The total number of passengers to the United States grew more than 25 percent in 2007, resulting in 266,971 arrivals.
FIT 2008, Argentina's leading tradeshow for the tourism industry, will take place November 1-4, 2008 at Buenos Aires' La Rural Fair Grounds in Palermo. This is an excellent opportunity for you to learn about the latest market developments in the region, to evaluate the market potential for your products, and to find and screen possible distributors or business partners.
